See the Slideshow for the “AFTER” photos:
Fashion Show at the Betty Page store!, a set on Flickr.
When we walked Bettie Page store in the Gaslamp District of San Diego my host and I almost didn’t go in. We thought: “there’s no possible way we could wear those dresses…” But that was not the case! Using the pinup styling inspired by the Legendary Bettie Page the dresses are made to fit a real woman. All your “assests” are where they’re supposed to be and not stuffed in a size zero like a sausage.
I’m usually a sneakers and jeans girl, but trying the dresses on boosted my body image and confidence. I felt good knowing that my body can wear beautiful clothes at an affordable price.
The staff at the Gaslamp District shop were sooo helpful and encouraging. I’m looking forward to visiting their shop specifically on my next trip!
