Before & After…

I love etsy! You meet so many cool people that care what they are gifting or how they are decorating their homes and every now and then as a seller, I get to be part of something special.

Heather, from North Caroline bought a suitcase from me. One of the first that I reupholstered on my own. I ripped out the ugly red guts and followed the pattern and replaced it with new vintage curtain fabric. Being on of my first projects like that- I posted it with hesitation. It got a whole lot of “hearts” and was listed in many treasuries but no one was biting. I hoped it wasn’t my lining…

And then one day Heather asked me about the suitcase!

She wanted to give it to her 3 year old daughter and pass down her vintage Barbies to her and she thought this was perfect. The idea was the best I’d heard yet and I was so happy that with all the hearts and treasuries that no one had bought the suitcase before Heather.

I was so happy to hear from her about how much her daughter enjoys carrying her new luggage and putting her dolls inside. She even sent pics (above)!

I’m so glad I could help make a little girl’s birthday complete :)
